Poetry: Like a Hurricane

By Monica C. Voskamp

Don’t hold back

Don’t live regrets

You can’t rewind time

But you can give today

Love the size of a hurricane.

Don’t pause, don’t wait

Till you wake up one day

And wonder why you didn’t

Ever take the chance before.

If you hold back too long

You just might miss your chance

To give what you can right now

Love like a hurricane.

Don’t wait and skip your mark

Don’t suddenly walk away

Take charge, go straight on in

Give hope with open arms

Give what no one can ever buy

Love like a hurricane.

It only takes a moment

To lay down your pride

It only takes a moment

To live a different life

But the choice is yours to make

Give what nothing else can replace,

Love like a hurricane.

Always hope. Always believe. Always love.  💞

Fill your Bucket.

By Monica C. Voskamp

A one time drop in a bucket is something, but it’s small and of little impact.

Continual drops in a bucket can both quench your thirst and be shared with many others. Greater things are now able to happen.

Don’t stop at one drop in your bucket. Keep dreaming. Keep working. Keep believing,  creating, loving, and building.

Keep filling your bucket in life.
