Poetry: Illusion of the Eyes

By Monica C. Voskamp

I watch her spin and turn

She glides across the floor

On tiptoe flawlessly.

I watch her fall and rise

The beauty and chaos

Holds me mesmerized.

I watch her dance

Across the stage of life

Her body soulful and sweet

Laughter floats across the floor

Her smile plays on cherry lips

Her eyes send a charming spark.

Yet her spirit bitterly laughs inside

For all is not what is really seems

It is merely an illusion of the eyes.

Always hope. Always believe. Always love. 💕
