I’m sending up whispered lonely prayers
Wandering round in hasty twilight hours
Anxiety building as is the dark
I don’t even know which road I’m on
So God please quick,
Help me find my way back home.
I thought I had read my compass just right
But it seems the map got twisted on me.
Upside down, right side up, so confusing
I don’t know which way is north or south.
So God please lead,
Help me find my way back home.
I take a breathe and centre myself
Stop a moment and reread the map
Let the daunting of uncertainty fade
As I calm the road becomes more clear
Still God please stay
Help me find my way back home.
Always hope. Always believe. Always love. 💕
