Floated away
Late one summer’s eve
My heart’s song.
I search the wind
The forests deep
I search the creeks,
The streams and trees
But cannot find her.
Captured somewhere
Her voice can’t speak
My heart’s song.
I call out to the stars
I scream into the dark
I call her name loud
Every turn I make
Yet still cannot find
My heart’s song.
I’m so sorry
Tears stream down
I’m sorry for mistaking
The beauty you were
And letting the dark
Become your hiding place.
I’m so sorry
Again I apologize
I know you’re afraid
I know you’re broken
Silent melody now.
Hiding somewhere
Scared to come out
My heart’s song.
I won’t give up
I know you’re longing
To play notes of joy
I promise you,
You will sing again.
I will find you,
Mend your broken strings
Hold you close, help you see
It’s still possible
To sing.
I catch winter’s cold
Let him carry me
Into the ice below
Determined to find
My heart’s song.
Frozen somewhere
In past chaos,
She is covered deep
Waiting for warmth
Of gentle healing free.
I’ll find the key
With sunlight’s love
Melt frozen lyrics
Free serenade sweet
My summer song.
Always hope. Always believe. Always love. ❤

Singing is an expression of free spirit. Words dancing with a musical tune reveals a glimpse of our purity, and innocence that we once were.
