Poetry: Mercy

By Monica C. Voskamp

When all I had was the ugly

Painting my life

You stepped in.

When all I felt was the dark

Pushing me down

You came to me.

Mercy you had mercy

On me

Mercy you had mercy

A gift for me.

You took me in

Gave me relief

You gave me more

Than I deserved.

You took the weight

Of my humanity

You took it all

Left none for me.

Mercy, you had mercy

On me.

Thank God Mercy

Didn’t hesitate

Didn’t think twice

To surrender for me.

Mercy just did what’s it’s made to do,

Mercy came and bridged the gap

Mercy was ready with a miracle

Cause Mercy knew me & you.

Always hope. Always believe. Always love. ❤

  1. Merciful!
In a cynical world, more of best of you is all we’ve got. We have noting lose but win win!
Wish others, worse enemies, what we wish for ourselves makes us a better person.
Thanks so much for great faith!
